Vice President, California Design

We’re reenergizing our California municipal Water/Wastewater business for major growth opportunities. Come be a part of our culture of collaboration and innovation in our Water sector. What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for an executive level Wastewater design leader to grow our business in California. A candidate who has managed the design of Wastewater Treatment Plants in the region can shape this position and the group to a model they know is successful. In this role, you will interface with clients, develop opportunities, and provide active leadership on design projects executed in California from planning through completion. Building on our history of quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction you and your team of engineers and project managers will play a key role in growing our business with key California water agencies.

Our design team is based primarily from our Pasadena, California office and enjoys a hybrid work environment, allowing some location flexibility.

What Required Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 15 + years of experience in the design of municipal water and wastewater treatment plants

  • Design and delivery of major projects, including at least two wastewater treatment plants with constructed values over $250 million

  • Strong relationships with regional and local clients and subconsultants

  • Registered Professional Engineer in California

  • Knowledge of current technology, such as MBR processes

  • Ability to recruit, mentor, develop, and retain top technical talent

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Experience and skill in motivating and leading multidisciplinary design teams to ensure the production of quality deliverables and client satisfaction

  • Experience and strong relationships in the state of California

  • Effective seller-doer, who can balance business development and project delivery

Salary Range:

$179,800.00 - $343,700.00
